About Monmouth, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Monmouth, Illinois is home to about 9,500 residents and is located in the western portion of the state. It is the county seat of Warren County and is home to Monmouth College. Also known as the “Maple City”, Monmouth was previously the home of Western stoneware, which was famous for its maple leaf imprint. Several notable people have also resided in Monmouth throughout the city’s history, including former Present Ronald Reagan, who lived in Monmouth as a child.

There are plenty of interesting things to experience in Monmouth, including a variety of festivals, events, and cultural performances. The Prime Beef Festival is held here each September, and the event is kicked off with one of Western Illinois’ largest parades. BaconFest and the Fly-In Breakfast are popular annual events, and artistic showcases are held at the Buchanan Center for the Arts and the Len G. Everett Galleries.  Performing art venues in the community include Wells Theater and the Fusion Theatre.

Found within a humid continental climate zone, Monmouth is known for its seasonal weather conditions. This includes a hot, humid summer in which temperatures often reach into the upper-80s. High dew points also lead to muggy air, but the right central A/C unit at home can help. These systems will keep indoor spaces cool and can also improve the quality of indoor circulating air.

During the winter months, the Monmouth area can be frigid with extreme temperature drops. Average daily highs only reach the mid-30s at the peak of the season, and overnight lows regularly drop below freezing.  In addition to cold temperature, the area may also battle considerable snowfall, depending on the year. At these times, a furnace that doesn’t work properly can lead to a dangerous home environment. Regular system maintenance is essential to ensure that furnace systems work at top efficiency throughout the season.
