About Rushville, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Rushville, Illinois is a city found in Schuyler County. As of 2010, this county seat was home to about 3,200 people.  Rushville is located approximately 10 miles from the Illinois River and 75 miles southwest of Peoria. The city is easily accessible to other neighboring communities via Route 24 and Route 67 and is served by the Schuyler-Industry School District and the Rushville Public Library.

There are plenty of interesting places to visit in Rushville. Main attractions in the community include the Schuyler Jail Museum & Genealogical Center, the Phoenix Opera House, and the Princess Theater. Local produce can be enjoyed at the Farmer’s Market held on the Downtown Square from May through October, and Scripps Park features an 18-hole golf course, aquatic center, ball fields, and playground area. There are also several unique restaurants in Rushville, including Benny’s Pizza, China House, Los Charros, and Rocket’s Café.

Rushville residents and visitors should be prepared for weather conditions that change with the passing of each season. This includes a summer that is great for outdoor recreation but can also become oppressively hot. Temperatures are high – daily highs reach about 86 degrees in July – and humidity levels can be excessive at times. Couple this heat with the possibility of severe storms and tornadoes and you get the potential for dangerous conditions outdoors. Fortunately, the right central air conditioning system can help residents to stay safe and comfortable regardless of what Mother Nature has up her sleeve.

Winter weather in Rushville is considerably different from summertime conditions. Temperatures drop throughout the autumn months, and by January, average highs only reach about 34 degrees Fahrenheit. With the potential for heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures, it is vital that residents have a reliable gas or electric furnace at home to stay warm. Regular furnace maintenance and cleaning also helps to achieve optimal system performance and efficiency for years to come.
